If you’re an undergraduate student, then head out to the Wintergarden today or tomorrow to vote in the NUGSS elections. You can read about the speeches here, and you can read the candidates’ platforms in the latest issue of Over the Edge. There’s also a vote on the U-Pass, which would see a semester fee increase in exchange for free buses and swimming at the Aquatic Centre. You can read the arguments for and against this idea at the booths set up in the halls near the library. We highly encourage you to get informed and make your choice—after all, if we can’t get democracy to work in a university, then what hope do entire countries have?
